Our tent rentals for sleepovers and sleepunders are most popular with children aged 5-13. We also service older teens, bridal and adult sleepovers. Our accent tents for decor and photo props are for any age. We customize the party theme and activities to suit the age group of the party guests.

We are based in West Orange, NJ and provide rental service throughout NJ, NY, CT, PA. Options include full service setup and delivery by our team, DIY with Delivery only, or DIY with pickup from our location.  Retail products are available to ship nationwide.

The guests can eat and drink inside the tents, but it is the responsibility of the host to make sure no damage is done to the rental items.

No, the tents are not waterproof.

The rental period for parties we set up is 1 night.  DIY parties can pickup or arrange delivery a day before the party for a 2 night rental and hassle free experience.  The rental period can be extended at an additional cost of $50/night.

We don’t stay and host your party, but we will make sure everything is set up as you need before we leave! To keep your guests busy, having fun, we offer a variety of add-ons which you can find HERE. We also provide a list of activity ideas as well as vendor partners to enhance the party experience.

The rental items cannot be kept. However, we have many add on items that can be purchased. These include personalized robes, pajamas, slippers, sleep masks, birthday child gift sets and activity kits. We also retail our tents and select sleepover sets.

You can book an event by filling out the booking inquiry form. Once that’s completed, we will get back to you with a detailed cost recap and provide you with the option to pay the deposit.

Yes, we can customize any theme for you. Please share a few inspiration pictures, and we will design something along those lines.

We have four tent rental packages: the Deluxe Sleepover Package, which includes tents, mattresses, sheets, blankets, decor, personalized name signs, fairy lights and breakfast trays; the Lounge Sleepover Package, which does not include tents but includes other items from the deluxe package; the Basecamp Sleepover Package, which includes tents and mattresses only and Teepee Accent which includes teepee and decor.  We also have a Picnic Soirée, Outdoor Movie Rental and Italian Ice Cart.

We supply tents, air mattresses, fitted sheets, plush throw blankets, decorative pillows, breakfast trays and decor. For sanitary reasons, we do not provide sleeping pillows and suggest that each child brings their own or for the host to provide.

We recommend booking at least 3-4 weeks in advance to ensure your preferred date and theme are available. Our production schedule requires all details to be finalized and paid 2 weeks in advance.  However, we can accommodate last-minute bookings based on availability and with additional rush fees.

We request our customers to confirm the final guest count 2 weeks before the party date to avoid a rush fee added to the invoice. 

Payments and Cancellations

Once a booking is made, the deposit is not refundable.  A party date can be moved if done within 2 weeks before the date.  The security deposit is refunded after the party has taken place and all rental items are returned in good condition. Please note that any damages, missing items, or excessive cleaning required may result in a partial or complete forfeiture of the security deposit.

The balance is due 2 weeks before the party date.

Credit card processing fees are added to the invoice. A security deposit is held for the duration of the rental.  If the details and payment are not finalized 2 weeks before the party date then a rush fee of $50 is added to the invoice.

Yes, you can reschedule your event without a fee prior to 2 weeks before the party date. We charge a $100 rescheduling fee for a date change with less notice.

We will work with you to accommodate last-minute changes, however, additional tents are subject to availability.  If the last minute change is less than 2 weeks before the party date, a rush fee will be assessed.  We always aim to accommodate last-minute changes, however adjustments outside of our production schedule are more costly to execute, thus the additional charge.

Logistical Questions

The space required depends on the number of teepees and the mattress size.  The tents are 4’ wide.  Kids mattresses are 62” long, Twin mattresses are 76” long. The foot print for each tent therefore is either 4’ x 6’ the layout you choose. Each teepee setup requires about 30 square feet. We offer a free consultation to help plan the layout in your available space.

Our crew doesn’t assist with moving furniture, as they have multiple jobs a day and limited time.

Our typical setup window is from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on the date of the party. However, we confirm the final window a week before the party date. We pick up the items the day after the party.

It takes approximately 2 hours to set up a party of up to 5 guests. 

Please drop a text or email us to inform us that you are on the way before the pickup. 

Yes, we can. It will be your responsibility to secure the location and pay all fees associated. We ask that you also get authorization to setup for this purpose at the location. Please double check their party and occupancy rules, as we do not issue refunds if we are denied access to set up that day, or for inadequate space. We will not move any furniture, and ask that all furniture is moved prior to our arrival. Sleepover Party Shop LLC will not be liable for any damages done to the space.

Equipment Questions

Once we receive the items, we send everything to be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized at the laundry.

If our equipment is returned in an excessively dirty condition that requires additional stain removal or replacement, we will require a $100 fee as well as any additional costs to repair rental equipment if necessary.

Please keep all pets and animals away from the equipment.

We do expect our customers to take care of the rental equipment during their party. We understand that reasonable wear and tear will occur, but if equipment is damaged, lost, or stolen; we will require reimbursement to replace equipment

White and colored tents have a 7′ clearance, with opened height of 6′ and upright poles at 7′.

Our tents are not difficult to set up. Many of our customers opt for the DIY option and can set up the items by following the instructions provided.
